1st Louisville CBD & PSP Support Group Meeting a Success

Thanks to the strong turnout and enthusiasm of the Louisville PSP and CBD Communities the first meeting of the Louisville CBD Support Group was a great success. This first meeting was all about getting to know each other and charting the course for future meetings, and that's precisely what we did. After a brief overview of the foundation of the Center of Excellence in CBD over snacks and softdrinks, we moved on to a lively discussion of what patients and caregivers would be interested in seeing in future meetings.

While planning is still underway, the following topics will be covered in upcoming 2010 meetings:

New & Upcoming Drug Trials
New Therapies
General Overviews of PSP and CBD (Probably both covered together)
Timelines of disease progression and how to plan for the future
Transportation Concerns
Environmental Planning (things to have in or at your home)
Meeting respite needs
Adaptive Devices for CBD & PSP

If you would like to suggest a speaker, topic, or an article you think would be good to share, please email them to me at tsbrya01@louisville.edu. I look forward to hearing from everyone!

Sincerely,
Todd
